At IACLS, you won’t be chasing signatures or redacting PDFs all semester. You’ll be helping real lawyers take real swings at unconstitutional laws, unethical prosecutors, and judges who think no one’s watching.

We bring on a small number of for-credit externs from Houston-area law schools who want more than another line on their résumé. You’ll draft, research, observe court, and learn how freedom is actually defended—one motion, one writ, one filing at a time.
